The Plant Floater is responsible for a wide variety of job duties within the Columbus Flat Roll Division including shipping/receiving, housekeeping, packaging, etc.

• Provide and maintain a safe work environment for all employees and drivers.
• Safely and efficiently operate overhead cranes
• Safely and efficiently operate fork trucks
• Loading/unloading coils
• The successful candidate will be able to quickly learn a variety of job tasks and multi-task during the day while providing assistance to other employees and at the same time completing their own job assignments.

• A strong desire and ability to work safely
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Self-directed, well organized, and motivated
• Must be driven to maintain a high level of housekeeping
• Must be detail oriented and be able to complete work accurately
• Must be willing to train on and learn other jobs in the plant
• Must represent the company well to customer and contract drivers.
