Mill-wide resource for vision inspection systems (e.g. Cognex and Dr. Schenk) and Quality department maintenance technician

• Work safely, keep work area neat and clean
• Facilitate vision inspection system (VIS) upgrades
• Inspect and update VIS classifiers daily.
• Ensure mill-wide VIS technology is state-of-the-art.
• Continued training on VIS
• VIS expert resource and mill-wide VIS trainer
• Create, modify, and close work orders
• Understand the effect of VIS on the mill quality systems
• Quality Department electrical and mechanical maintenance contact
• Perform other work as assigned
• Able to work with minimal supervision both alone and with others
• Work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, as necessary

• Safety oriented, understand electrical and mechanical safety
• Understand electrical fundamentals
• Proven logical approach to troubleshooting
• Able to use PC’s and common software and utilities
• Coordinate multiple tasks and projects
• Complete SDI electrician training

Preferred

• BS or AAS degree in electrical technologies or computer science
• Process control systems and automation system programming
• Industrial network and communication protocols
• Database programming and usage
• VIS defect classification and maintenance
• Advanced mathematics
