Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot repair and maintain robotic manufacturing systems and automated production equipment used in aerospace and defense manufacturing.
  • Diagnose electrical mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues to minimize production downtime and maintain equipment reliability.
  • Road and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PL C logic, and technical manuals to support troubleshooting an repair.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on robotic cells, weld systems, conveyors, fixtures, and associated automation equipment.
  • Support Fanuc robotic systems including troubleshooting alarms, robot recovery, teach pendant operations, and basic program modifications.
  • Install, route, and troubleshoot industrial wiring, sensors, motors, servos, safety devices, and electrical components.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to improve equipment uptime and process reliability.
  • Assist with equipment startups, commissioning activities, and new product introduction (NPI) support for automated manufacturing lines.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and spare parts tracking in accordance with company procedures.
  • Follow all aerospace manufacturing, safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and environmental procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Preferred Qualification:

  • 5+ years of experience maintaining robotic or automated manufacturing systems in an industrial, aerospace, or defense environment.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with Fanuc robotic systems is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems including motors, drives, relays, sensors, control panels, and industrial wiring.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices.
  • Capable of working independently and prioritizing task in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.

Education & Certifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Technical degree, trade school, or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Fanuc robotics certifications, electrical certifications, or industrial maintenance certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50pounds.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, and manual dexterity required.
  • Ability to work around industrial machinery and automated equipment safety.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, and hearing protection as required.
