Senior Facility Technician
Pay Grade 6

Key Responsibilities
- Pneumatics Maintenance & Repair:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain pneumatic systems, including compressors, air lines, control system, valves, and actuators.
- Calibrate and repair pneumatic components to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
- Identify issues in pneumatic systems proactively to prevent unexpected downtime.
- Mechanical Maintenance & Repair:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical systems, including blowers, exhaust fans, belts, bearings, conveyors, valves, and actuators.
- Evaluate and repair mechanical components to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
- Identify issues in mechanical systems proactively to prevent unexpected downtime.
- Hydraulic Maintenance & Repair:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain hydraulic systems (oil and water), including pumps, heat exchangers, lines, valves, and actuators.
- Calibrate and repair mechanical components to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
- Identify issues in pneumatic systems proactively to prevent unexpected downtime.
- Manufacturing Equipment Support:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production and facility equipment, such as CNC machines, conveyors, automated systems, paint booths, cure ovens, clean rooms, inspection equipment and robotic assemblies.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on critical equipment to reduce unscheduled downtime.
- Support plant operations by responding to production issues and repairs promptly.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and modifications to existing equipment.
- Facilities Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs on all plant air compressors, air dryers, vacuum systems and associated filters, valving and piping systems.
- Conduct routing inspections and repairs on all plant piping systems such as potable water, non-potable, gas and sanitary sewer.
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs on the plant sprinkler system and fire pump.
- Conduct inspections and repairs on items related to the plant building and grounds such as electrical distribution system, man doors, overhead doors, roofs, yard equipment, docks and structure.
- Support plant operations by responding to facility issues and repairs promptly.
- Ensure all work is performed following industry standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- This will be done through the PC based CMMS program.
- Create and close out work orders.
- Create and close out PM’s.
- Asset management.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repair histories.
- Experience in reading and understanding equipment manuals and schematic drawings.
- Work closely with the Facilities Director to develop maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks based on operational and production needs.
- Document modifications and repairs according to company policies and procedures.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Will be able to be trained to operate forklift and man lifts (platform and articulated).
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols specific to the defense industry.
- Actively contribute to safety training programs and report any unsafe conditions or practices immediately.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in facilities maintenance in a manufacturing or defense environment, with a focus on pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems on manufacturing and facilities equipment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in relevant fields (e.g., mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, HVAC) preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, principles, and troubleshooting each.
- Proficiency in maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment, facilities equipment and industrial machinery.
- Proficient with working on personal computer and working knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings.
- Familiarity with basic PLC and electrical systems is a plus.
- Ability to weld is a plus.
- Certifications: Certifications in OSHA, NFPA, or other relevant safety standards are a plus.
