Quality Inspector with Metrology

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform incoming receiving inspections on aerospace and defense materials, parts, and assemblies to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements
* Utilize laser trackers, CMMs, and other precision measurement equipment to perform detailed dimensional inspections and generate accurate inspection reports.
* Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), models, and specifications to determine inspection requirements.
* Verify and document inspection results using appropriate quality and metrology software systems.
* Support calibration and verification of inspection tools and measurement systems to ensure accuracy and traceability.
* Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve nonconformances and inspection issues.
* Ensure inspection activities comply with AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, and customer quality standards.
* Maintain organized inspection records and contribute to continuous improvement of inspection processes and metrology capabilities.
Qualification:
Required:
* High school diploma or equivalent (technical or associate degree preferred).
* Minimum 3 plus years of experience in receiving inspection or dimensional inspection in an aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environment.
* Hands-on experience operating laser trackers (e.g., FARO, Leica) and CMM systems.
* Strong understand of metrology principles, GD&T, and precision measurement techniques.
* Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, models, and technical documentation.
* Proficiency with measurement and inspection software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Poly Works, and Spatial Analyzer).
* Excellent attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
* Experience in a DoD or ITAR-controlled environment.
* Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements.
* Knowledge of materials, coatings, and aerospace hardware specifications.
* Current or prior security clearance (active or eligible).
