Columbus Brick, a division of General Shale Brick, is seeking an Electrician for our manufacturing facility in Columbus, MS. This position is hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities will include:

• Understanding and applying technical diagrams
• Using various devices, including ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners and cable testers, as well as hand and power tools
• Installing or replacing wiring, lighting, electrical controls, conduit, breakers and other electrical devices
• Inspecting and maintaining electrical systems
• Adhering to state and local building regulations
• Completing work orders on time
• Documenting the work completed and materials used
• Working with other electricians, general contractors, architects and other team members

Applicants should possess and demonstrate a working knowledge of:

• Motor Control Circuits
• Variable Frequency Drives
• An Associate’s Degree in electrical or related field with experience in an industrial electrical environment
• Must be willing to work after hours and on an on-call rotation
