At Columbia Industries, our mission is “To Create Incredible Solutions that Transform Industries.” We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Assembly & Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building, troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning industrial equipment in both shop and field environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems according to engineering specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics, and technical instructions
  • Install mechanical components, equipment, and hardware using hand and power tools
  • Support equipment commissioning, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs at customer locations
  • Identify and resolve mechanical and operational issues while maintaining quality standards
  • Complete required documentation including test reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Input labor tracking and project details into EPICOR (LTS)
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment safely
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of mechanical assembly, industrial maintenance, hydraulic systems, or related manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to travel for field service and customer support as needed
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

Preferred Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Technical training or trade school experience preferred
  • Experience with industrial equipment assembly or service work is a plus

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
