Position Summary

The Truck Washer is a part-time position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and professional appearance of the Burns Logistics fleet. This role supports the Maintenance Shop by washing trucks after they return from daily haul routes, helping ensure equipment is presentable, well cared for, and ready for operation. This position is well-suited for a student seeking consistent afternoon work in a hands-on environment. No specialized skills or prior experience are required.

Key Responsibilities
Wash and clean company trucks following completion of daily haul routes
Perform exterior washing using company-provided equipment and supplies
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wash area and tools
Follow all safety procedures and shop guidelines
Communicate with maintenance staff regarding truck availability or issues
Represent Burns Logistics in a professional manner while on and off company property

Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Dependable, punctual, and responsible
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Comfortable working outdoors and around heavy equipment
Safety-conscious with attention to detail

Measurements of Success
Safety procedures are always followed
Trucks are cleaned thoroughly and consistently to company standards
Assigned work is completed on time within scheduled hours
Wash area and equipment are kept clean and organized
Positive working relationship maintained with Maintenance team

Reporting Relationship
Reports directly to the Maintenance Shop / Maintenance Supervisor

Schedule & Work Hours
Part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week
Afternoon hours, approximately 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
