Job Description:

Position Summary: This job consists of staging and expediting parts between different areas and buildings. The stocking of KanBan bins, removing dunnage from production floor, and assisting tool crib attendant.

Primary Responsibilities:

Stocking KanBan: 40%

  • Checking bins daily for refill needs and picking parts thru SAP system

  • Receiving parts from warehouse and filling bins

Staging/Parts Expediting: 40%

  • Receiving parts from warehouse and matching parts up with production order bill of materials.

  • Delivering AOG parts to areas issued to.

  • Removal of packaging dunnage from production floor

Tool Crib: 20%

  • Filling in and assisting tool crib attendant

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Dimensions, Contributions to Success:

  • This position requires handling and distribution of aircraft parts to internal customers to meet delivery schedules.

Nature of Contacts:

This position communicates daily with internal customers, warehouse personal and supervisors

Moderate Communication on a daily Basis with internal parties only

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite: 100% of time that this position must be worked onsite at the company's location.

  • Vision: Daily be able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings

  • Hearing: Daily be able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms

  • Speaking: Daily be able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications

  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Daily be able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts

  • Carrying: Daily be able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs

  • Lifting: Daily be able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs

  • Pushing / Pulling: Daily be able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.

  • Sitting: Daily be able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer

  • Squatting / Kneeling: Daily be able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor

  • Travel/ N/A

  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Daily be able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces

  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
